
WHO WE ARE
Redirection Community Development Center (CDC) is a non-profit organization located at 204 E Arlington Blvd Suite C, Greenville, NC 27858. Founded by Yolanda Bullock-Blount in 2011, the organization is dedicated to providing support and resources to individuals looking to redirect their careers or enhance their professional development. They focus on creating positive change and making a difference in the lives of those they serve, offering career assessment tools, coaching program listings, and resources for skill development on their website. The vision of Redirection is to empower young men, women, and children to become effective members of the community by equipping and developing them through teaching, training, and mentoring, showing them a different path for their lives, believing that each individual's passion will propel them to their purpose. The mission is to expose and empower young people to take advantage of today’s opportunities. Redirection CDC is committed to providing quality programs for youth and young adults, focusing on mentoring and connecting with children during their formative years. The organization also hosts summer camps and serves Lenoir, Martin, and Pitt counties. Through its service to the community, Redirection CDC is dedicated to changing lives and making a positive impact. The programs include educational and fun activities, journaling, arts and crafts, and outdoor activities. The organization's unique selling points include its commitment to service and the positive impact on the community and the lives of those touched by its programs. Redirection CDC offers programs such as L.I.F.T. (Living In Faith Today) for young women, M.O.V.E. (Men Of Vision and Endurance) for young men, REIGN (Re-entry) for returning citizens, and Entrepreneurship Mindset, which is designed to inspire and engage individuals in the fundamental aspects of an entrepreneurial mindset. The Entrepreneurship Mindset program, known as Ice House, aims to instill a resilient and entrepreneurial mindset in offenders, providing them with the skills needed to succeed in securing employment or creating their own entrepreneurial pathway. This program offers various outcomes, including developing entrepreneurial attitudes, behaviors, and skills, identifying and validating opportunities, and interacting with entrepreneurs for guidance and support. The organization also teaches the "Five Core Principles" in all its programs, aiming to renew the mind, encourage oneself, ignite passion, guard the heart, and develop a new attitude. The programs provide strategies and support to make positive changes in participants' lives.
